
Located just 1.8km (6 Euros taxi fare) from the apartment, Puerto Banus is one of the most glamorous holiday destinations in Europe. As you wander along the waterfront at Muelle Rivera, you will be greeted by a wide array of the coolest bars, nightclubs, restaurants and designer shops. Expect to rub shoulders with celebrities and international film stars.There is not a designer name that you can't find in Puerto Banus among it's many exclusive shops. The marina of Puerto Banus moors some of the most expensive yachts in the world and is a favourite stop for Royalty of all nationalities. It is quite easy on a pleasant evening to spend several hours wandering up and down the marina pontoons, then sit in one of the many bars, watching the world of high-life strolling past you. The biggest boats are at the south end of the port. Puerto Banus has a great deal to offer the ardent shopper and one port of call has to be the el Corte Ingles, located in the centre, just off of the large marble square.
There are loads of great places to eat in The Port, if you have children try TGI Fridays or a similar restaurant called Jacks which is right on the front, both are good but they do get really busy so its best to pre book a table. Picasso’s is one of the largest and most popular Italian restaurants in the port, the food is really reasonably priced and has a friendly upbeat atmosphere brilliant for families. The beach at the north of the town and is called Playa Levante. It is long and wide, very clean. and has all of the facilities you would expect. The nightlife in Puerto Banus is also as well known for it's celebrity status, there are many clubs and pubs and after midnight, especially in the summer months, the whole place rocks till daybreak!. Hotels of all grades are plentiful but you will find it cheaper to stay just outside of the port and travel in to see Puerto Banus. 101 Aloha Gardens is ideally situated, just 1.8 km from the port.
To both sides of the port are fabulous beaches, both with excellent beach bars which are very popular. There is also Mistral beach bar a very “in” party beach bar. You can easily get to it if you park in the Port and walk the 500 yard along the sea front. (Mistral 952-925250). Mistral beach runs for miles and you can always find a quiet spot to relax and soak up the sun. If watersports are your thing you'll find everything you need at here. There’s another great beach bar at Puerto Banus called Soul bar, a cool in crowd with great tunes playing, trampolines and a park for little ones.
